Diary entry

Diary entry ,the teacher form literature tell as that as a final task we have to think about the poem that we had work in the classes from literature, "A different History"by Sujata Bhatt ,in the times in which the British were colonizing India, and think about what Sujata can have written in a diary entry.

Dear Diary,                                                                                   

I am very scared ,today is my birthday number seventeen ,it is the worst birthday in the history of birthdays.

Everything started this morning, we were in our hiding place, I was in our little “kitchen” trying to take the rest of food from the empty cans .I was really hungry ,I went to my room to see the hour, It was eleven o´clock .Jasinta that brought us the food was late, very late ,like to hours late. I started getting nervous ,so I went to sleep .When I was sleeping I listened to very strong noises, bombs, shouts, people crying ,shoots ,etc.I jumped up from the bed and went to my little window ,there were a lot of aggressive ,and violent soldiers taking everything that was mine ,they tortured ,the took our souls ,they cut our sacred trees and broke our books .My sister opened the door crying ,and she whispered to me,

-“They are here,they have mom and dad and they killed Jasinta ,come on take your things ,we have to go out”.

I took my books ,old letters, some photos ,pencils , ans clothes , I put it on my school bag .My sister broke the window ,we went out ,I tried to look to my feet because it was a horrible situation ,we walked like to miles.

Now we are in an indian´s  refuge ,I miss mom and dad bout I have to continue until these British go away.

I don’t have more hope…
