Death Penalty
The legalisation of capital punishment is a very complex topic of discussion. There are thousands of different ideas supported by good arguments. Should it be made legal? Should the justice system be able to decide if a person lives or dies? In the following essay ,reasons for and against death sentence will be discussed and analized.

Not only innocent men and women could die if the court makes a mistake but killing people that have killed others is not the best solution, there are a better alternatives. Also people against capital punishment justify their position by letting people know that the justice can be very relative and it is applied at random; The death penalty is a lethal lottery: of the 15,000 to 17,000 homicides committed every year in the United States, approximately 120 people are sentenced to death, less than 1%. By watching the movie "Time to kill" people can clearly see that the race and place determine who lives and who dies. Those who kill whites are more likely to be sentenced to die than those who kill African-Americans.

On the other hand people that are in favour of capital punishment may think prisioners will never pay for what they did by spending their lives in jail or that keeping dangerous people alive is usless. Will killing these people help in any way in the end? Should the punishment fit the crime or the criminal? Corrections personnel involved in executions, like our military, frequently suffer PTSD from having to kill. Perhaps there is a reason to have a defensive military, but prisoners pose no threat to the well-being of our citizens. There is no reason to place the mental health of our corrections workers at risk simply to pursue vengeance.
As Batman said "If you kill a killer the number of killers in the world remains the same" Even if the anger may make us belive death penalty is a solution ,would you choose to be the person that pulls the switch that snuffs out a human life? I would not. In my opinion, is useless, killing is not going to fit the crimes criminals comitted.
